Revival, A Balanced Approach-Preface

The following is the Preface to the book Revival, A Balanced Approach by Richard D’Andrea Dover (PreacherRichD – social platforms). (The book will be available in May 2022)

I am consumed with a burden that America, the World and the Christian Church needs an awakening, a REVIVAL. True revival is more than simply calling an event a revival. We need a revival that comes from the moving of God’s Holy Spirit upon individuals, churches, communities and nations. In this book I will explain what true revival is and what it is not as well as discuss why we need revival. In the following pages I will reveal the differences between renewal and revival.

If you ask any Christian if we need revival and do they want revival, most will say, “Yes”. Sadly, many Christians have no idea what they are saying yes to. There are also those who fear the idea of a revival because of misconceptions and false representations of a revival. This leads to a misunderstanding within the Body of Christ of what revival is as well as a warped perception which ultimately hinders revival.

The following chapters will provide an understanding of revival through a biblical perspective as well as give examples throughout history of true revivals. After reading this book you will begin to hunger for true revival and if you are asked, “Do you want a revival?” You will say, “Yes! Lord, Send Revival!”
