Women in Ministry-Prophecy

Throughout the Old Testament and the New Testament there are women Prophetesses or women who are prophesying. They are prophesying outside church settings and within church. They are clearly operating in the prophetic with women and MEN present. There is a preponderance of evidence that God has placed the prophetic gifting upon both men and women. (See the list of Bible verses at the end of this article.)
Prophesysing-Men and Women
Greek word Prophéteuó, prophesy, to foretell events, divine, speak under inspiration, exercise the prophetic office
to break forth under sudden impulse in lofty discourse or in praise of the divine counsels. to teach, refute, reprove, admonish, comfort others.
Forthtelling—Spirit-empowered proclamation that exposes hearts, exhorts, and consoles. “He who prophesies speaks to men for edification, encouragement, and comfort” Thus prophecy is less about timetable speculation and more about present application of divine truth.

Prophetess
Greek prophétis: Prophetess a female foreteller or an inspired woman. A woman to whom future events or things hidden from others are at times revealed, either by inspiration or by dreams and visions. A prophetess is a woman whom God empowers to speak forth His word, whether by foretelling future events or by forthtelling divine revelation for exhortation, correction, or encouragement.

Fallacy That Prophecy No Longer Exists
There are those who claim that the office of Prophet, gift of prophecy, the operating in the prophetic no longer exists now that we have the Holy Bible. This an absolute false doctrine that has no biblical basis. There is not one single Bible verse that supports this position. Those who support this doctrine are called Cessationists. Most Cessationists are Complementarians. Thus they need to deny the gifts of the Spirit because Scripture makes it clear that men and women can both be used in the gifts of the Spirit in mixed company withing a church setting. There are Egalitarians that are Cessationists.
There are Complementarians and Egalitarians that are Continualists, believing the gifts of the Spirit still exist.
Immaterial
In regard to women in ministry, in regard to women speaking in church, in regard to women being used in spiritual gifts, in regard to women being used in gifts of the Spirit, it is immaterial if the gift of prophecy no longer existed (which again is false doctrine).
For the sake of argument let’s assume Cessationists are correct the gifts of the Spirit, including prophecy no longer exist. Would that men women are now not to speak in church, not to pray, not to teach, not proclaim the Gospel, not to exhort, correct, edify. Where are the Bible verses to support such a mindset????????
Bible Verses-Prophetesses or Women Operating in the Prophetic
The following Bible verses are of women who were Prophetess or operated in the prophetic.

And your sons and your daughters will prophesy,
And your young men will see visions,
And your old men will have dreams;
18 And even on My male and female servants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days,
And they will prophesy.
SUMMARY
There is no biblical evidence, no Scripture, that states the gifts of the Spirit no longer exist. There is no Scripture that states that the prophetic gift or office no longer exists. There is no Scripture that states that women are no longer to operate in the gift of prophesy.
There is a preponderance of evidence that women are not out of the will of God to operate in the prophetic. Women are not out of the will of God to operate in the prophetic rather it is within or outside the church. Women are not out of the will of God to operate in the prophetic with men present. Women are not out of the will of Got to speak in the church. Women are not out of the will of God if God has gifted them to proclaim the Gospel, preach, teach, exhort, correct, edify.
But what about the verses that women are not to teach men? Is it as black and white as some make it? How about 1 Timothy 2:8-15, 1 Timothy 3:2, Titus 1:5-9, Titus 2:3-5. We will get to all of these verses.
