Faith Ablaze-Charles Finney, Bars Shut Down

Charles Finney was an atheist lawyer who studied the bible to destroy others faith, but had an encounter with God in a forest and over100,000 souls were saved through revival.
The revival started unknowingly. First in a small town where Finney gathered blacksmiths, farmers, housewives to pray. Households were transformed. Repentance was in the air. Entire cities wept. An entire factory stopped running because of Finney walking through the door and workers started weeping. Judges, soldiers, merchants feel under conviction. Bars shut down because owners were converted, prisons empty.
Like every other move of God there were unceasing critics. But multitudes of times critics would become weeping repentant ones. Wherever Finney would go, there would be tears of repentance. Finney went to Oberlin College to teach theology but the classes became worship services and many students went across America preaching the Gospel.
What if Finney would have given in to the critics, what if he had abandoned the call of God?
Think about Christianity in America today. Many question the call to repentance, many have no remorse for their sins. Will you cry out for repentance and revival in America?
