Women in Ministry-Extremism

In this article I will be sharing some of the Extremism in both the Complementarianism and Egalitarianism camps. This extremism causes much harm to the body of Christ, and many times to individuals, rather it is intentional or not. You the reader can decide on your own which extremism causes more damage to Christianity and specifically to women. The damage to women should be of greatest concern considering the topic is Women in Ministry.
It should be noted that those on either side of the extremism attempt to use Scripture or biblical principles to justify their extremism. Sadly, throughout the history of Christianity, of religion, there have been those that have tried to use their religious beliefs to justify evil. Yes, twisting, manipulating Scripture to justify or promote false doctrine and/or ungodliness and is evil.
Complementarianism Extremism
A. Anyone pastor that allows a woman to preach, and any woman that preaches, is going to hell.
(You may say no one believes that. check out the web and YouTube and you will find individuals making that statement.)
B. Women are not to speak in church whatsoever, or a form of this. Women cannot lead worship, lead prayer, pray when men present, speak in Bible Studies, etc. (There are denominations that have portions of this in their doctrine.)
C. Women are to wear a head covering, have their hair in a bun, must wear dresses, no makeup, if they do otherwise they are in rebellion to the Word of God and should be disfellowshiped.
D. Men, husbands, are to have full authority over their wife-women are to do whatever men tell them to do.
E. The end result of Extreme Complementarianism is misogynist overseeing churches and homes.
(A personal story from a personal experience. A pastor telling their congregation that “they should not have any fellowship with Christians that attend a church with a female pastor. Most likely theses Christians and the pastor are not born again.”)
Egalitarianism Extremism
A. There are no defined roles for men and women. Thus any Scripture that defines different roles for men and women is being misinterpreted or is not true Scripture.
B. Some go as far as saying that Apostle Paul was a misogynist and none of His writings can be trusted and should not be seen as Scripture.
C. Some groups making the assertion that Christianity has become the religion of Paul, not Jesus.
D. Egalitarianism Extremism fuels a spirit of pride, rebellion, stubbornness among women. It breeds a mindset that women are victims of abuse and manipulation whenever the subject of submission is discussed.
E. The end result is Extreme Egalitarianism supports Lesbianism, Transgenderism, more than two genders, etc. It in reality supports perversion.
(A personal story from a personal experience. There was some women who created a church split because of their Extreme Egalitarianism viewpoints. They started their own church. One of the women became a pastor. It turns out this woman was a man who transgendered as a woman.)
Summary
These extreme stances by the two camps is far from biblical. I will go as far to say these extreme beliefs come from the pit of hell, not the Word of God. Any Christian that supports these extreme beliefs is walking in ignorance or deception. Any Christian that supports these extreme beliefs needs to repent. Any True Follower of Christ should speak against these extreme beliefs when they encounter those who have such beliefs.
These extreme viewpoints is one of the reasons I speak about what I call Isorropiaism-a balanced approach to Women in Ministry.
