Rich-Be in Health Interesting Topics
During our time at Be in Health there were several interesting topics. Actually all of the topics were interesting, but some stood out more than others. In the future I will be sharing my insights on the various topics and how they affected me personally. For now, I will summarize some concepts that I see are important for whole person healing. I want to say that all the teachings were bathed in Scripture.
The Love of the Father
Over 80% of the people in the room at the retreat did not have a loving relationship with their father, or they knew their father loved them but he did not express it. Needless to say this experience can affect how people see the love of their Heavenly Father.
Godly Order
This was a very good teaching on the Godhead and how godly order should flow in the home. A great reminder.
Separation
This was not a new concept to me, but this teaching made things even more clear to me. The concept in this teaching is that we need to discern WHO is talking or acting out. Many times a person is being influenced by evil spirits, generational sin, wrong mindsets, etc. Thus for our well being and interaction with others we need to discern ‘WHO’ is talking through the person and ‘WHO’ is talking to us. A common saying at Be in Health is, WHO told you? The words that The Father said to Adam. We need to know WHO is our REAL ENEMY.
Accusation
I will certainly be sharing about this later. It is not only important to know WHO is speaking, but to be aware of when encountering an accusing spirit. Sadly most of us have been affected and influenced by accusations that come from the enemy of our soul. Separation is critical with dealing with accusations, otherwise we end up agreeing with the accusations. Dis-ease is the end result.
Accusation can be against God, Others, or Ourselves.
Disease Profiles
Overall this was a new concept to me. The teachings on this topic were extremely informative and helpful. I love the saying “Disease management is not our goal. Disease prevention and eradication is our goal. Doctors manage diseases, God removes diseases.”
In this topic they show the demonic influence in regards to sickness and disease and how various diseases affect the Endocrine System, Autonomic/Involuntary System, and the Sympathetic and Parasympathetic System. They discuss what can be the spiritual root causes of dis-ease.
Spiritual Blocks to Healing
Again, not a new teaching to me, but loved the use of Scripture, to show how various attitudes and mindsets can block healing.
Self-Pity, Bitterness, Envy and Jealousy, Rejection, Occultism, Unloving, Addictions, Fear, Unforgiveness
All of these can certainly be a root to dis-ease. That should be a no-brainer. Our Heavenly Father did not create us to operate in these realms, these are the opposite of the fruit of the Spirit.
Note: Unloving does not necessarily mean you are unloving, it is that you wear raised in an unloving environment, or have taken on an unloving spirit/mindset of yourself.
Fear, Guilt, and Shame
This teaching goes into how fear, guilt, and shame specifically affects various areas of our body, what types of diseases can result from these spirits/mindsets.
Enduring Temptation
Again, nothing new but a great teaching on how temptation takes place and how to overcome it.
Accepting Who You Really Are
If we want to experience wholeness in our life we need to focus on how Father God sees us.
Summary
While Carmi and I were at Be in Health we heard that there were people who have attended For My Life multiple times and still had many issues. It did not make sense to us. But this revelation just came to me. An overwhelming majority of what we were taught was not new to us. In fact we have taught on many of the topics. Thus the teachings were not hard to absorb and were not counter to what we have learned over the years as Christians. Sadly, that is not the experience of many, if not most Christians. In fact for many Christians the topics are counter to what they have been taught, so it only makes sense that what we have learned over years is much different than those who are learning concepts in weeks. So for us, our experience was the gaining of more insight of what we already know and being able to focus more on new concepts that we have not known. So for us, the new concepts we were learning were much easier to absorb and made sense to us.
I should mention that a big revelation to Carmi and I was how much we have fallen short in applying what we already know. OUCH!!!! But instead of receiving the spirit of accusation we go to the Father thanking Him for being merciful and asking for the Holy Spirit to work anew in us.
