Standing in the Gap
Standing in the Gap is the Intercessory Prayer ministry of Creating Futures in Fairfield Bay, AR. Creating Futures believes that the number one solution to the ongoing issues in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas is prayer. Prayer for City Government Leaders, prayer for Fairfield Bay Community Club leaders, prayer for the community of Fairfield Bay. Many of the problems in Fairfield Bay are spiritual in nature.
TO BE VERY HONEST
One of the biggest issues is there are individuals who claim to be Christian and others who manifest ungodly behavior. There is envy, jealousy, pride, narcissism, gossip, accusations, insinuations, pettiness, mocking, name-calling, poisonous words, hatred, lack of self-control, unforgiveness, bitterness, resentment, dishonesty. All of this behavior creates unnecessary emotional wounding, division, drama, and factions. It creates an atmosphere where individuals feel they need to take sides and opponents are seen as evil enemies. People are marked, labeled, and ostracized. All of this is reflective of the character of Satan.
Instead of focusing on confronting policies or actions, there is the ongoing vicious attacking of individuals. There is a mindset of the end justifies the means. No person, especially a Christ follower, should be a part of this mindset.
It should be noted that what is taking place in Fairfield Bay is a microcosm of what is taking place all across America, actually throughout the world.
REMINDER
Not all who manifest such behavior are evil people with evil intentions. Many times those who manifest such ungodly/immoral behavior are very wounded people, so as a ministry we pray for these individuals that they may become emotionally and spiritually healthy. Standing in the Gap and Creating Futures reminds everyone that people are not our enemy, spiritual wickedness is the enemy. Sadly, some people allow demonic entities to influence them, so we pray for them.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 6:12 NASB
