Hope and Encouragement

Praise God for the Bible verses that give us hope and encouragement. There is God’s love, the Lord is our shepherd, God’s compassion does not fail us.

Hope and Encouragment

• Romans 8:38-39 – “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” 
• Psalm 23:1-4 – “The Lord is my shepherd; I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul”.
• Lamentations 3:22-23 – “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” 
  

Walk Away from God’s Love

Bobby and I focused on Romans 8:38-39, the hope that nothing can separate us from the love of God if we are in Christ. In the midst of the discussion Bobby brought up that there are things we can do that causes us to walk away from experiencing His love. His love is still there for us but our sin causes us to not experience His love.

When we willfully sin, when we make conscious bad choices we are withdrawing from the One that loves us. But there is Good News. The promise found in 1 John 1:9,
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
