True Freedom

Every July 4th we as Americans celebrate the freedom we have in America. This July 4th we celebrate 250 years as a nation built on the foundation of freedom. But sadly, for many the concept is freedom to sin, to do whatever you want, and to not have any consequences. That is not freedom, it is bondage to sin, and you cannot avoid consequences for a lifestyle of sin.

Jesus wants to give us freedom TRUE FREEDOM, the freedom to live above sin. The freedom to walk in victory over sin. The freedom to live an overcoming life.

There is Good News! You can walk in freedom through Jesus Christ.
“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.“
John 8:36

Bondage to Sin

Jesus replied, ‘Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.’ 
John 8:34

Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 
Romans 6:16

But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.
Isaiah 59:2

“I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins.”
John 8:24

Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.
