Romans 5 Hope-Part One

Hope That Does Not Disappoint
Romans 5:3-5 speaks on hope that does not disappoint. Hope knowing God loves you and has salvation for you.
Romans 5:1-5 NASB
1Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; 4 and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; 5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Romans 5:1-5 NLT
1Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2 Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. 3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
Romans 5:1-5 NIV
1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Do Not Quit
To see the promise of hope that does not disappoint requires not quitting. Not giving up during the suffering but to persevere. If you persevere you develop godly charcter that leads to hope.
You have a choice of developing godly character or being a character, one who does not reflect the character of Christ.
If you do not quit, you will experience the hope of knowing how God has given you the Holy Spirit for strength and will experience His love.
Attitudeof Gratitude
Romans 5:1-2 reminds us that we have been justified, made right in God’s eyes and that we have peace from God, and have undeserved privileges, thus we can actually rejoice when we go through trials. We should be thankful for Christ has done for us.
