“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
Matthew 5:8 KJV

“Blessed [anticipating God’s presence, spiritually mature] are the pure in heart [those with integrity, moral courage, and godly character], for they will see God.

In this article we are going to only look at the word Blessed.

Blessed Definitions
Greek: Makarios: Blessed, happy. fortunate, well off
Happier, supremely blest, divine favor, spiritual maturity.

Well Off
In the natural well off is seen as being rich, having many possessions, shopping with no concern to prices, flying First Class. It is all about materialism. Not everyone that is financially well off is materialistic. But if that is how we define being blessed we will miss the spiritual blessings that come from God from having a pure heart.

Too many people, including Christians are chasing after material blessing and are never satisfied.

Divine Favor
When you have divine favor there are more multitudes of blessings than material things. Most importantly blessing in relationships, especially with God. When you have divine favor with God you will also have favor with man. Having favor with man without favor of God is very limiting.

Wehn you walk in a pure heart you have divine favor and will ‘see’ God.

Spiritual Maturity
When you have spiritual maturity you make wise decisions. Wise decisions lead to divine favor.
When you have a pure heart you will gain spiritual maturity and you will see the hand of God work inyour life.
