Blessed Are The Peacemakers-Part Two

This is the second half of the Peacemakers Podcast that I and Bobby did on being a Peacemaker. In this podcast we continue the theme of being used by God in the ministry of reconciling individuals to God, as the means of being a peacemaker. Individuals who are truly transformed and discipled will lean more towards being a peacemaker.

Matthew 5:9 ESV

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God.”

The Ministry of Reconciliation

2 Corinthians 5:17-21

¹⁷Therefore if anyone is in Christ, ^[^h^]he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. ¹⁸Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, ¹⁹namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and ^[i]He has ^[^j^]committed to us the word of reconciliation.

²⁰Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. ²¹He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Charlie Kirk
Since at the time of the podcast it was only a few weeks after the assassination of Charlie Kirk we took a few moments speaking on the ministry of Charlie. We do not agree with everything Charlie did or believed but Charlie was able to interact with those who had a disdain for him and what he believed. He did so by speaking truth in love. He loved his enemies. The end result there were those who ultimately became born again and transformed. The end result was peace between Charlie and these individuals.

PreacherRichD and Bobby
At one time Bobby and I were at opposite extremes when it came to politics, lifestyle, Christianity. Bobby was living an extremely ungodly lifestyle. However, over time as I loved on Bobby, spoke truth to Bobby, Bobby became born again, his life was transformed and he now tries to help others be reconciled to God. His desire is to be a peacemaker.
